Abstract
Endocarditis is a process that affects valves or endocardial tissue. Affected animals have some focus of infection and have specific signs that can be confused with various infectious diseases. The diagnosis is based on laboratory, echocardiographic and often necropsy changes due to its high mortality. The aim of the present study is to report clinical, laboratory and post mortem changes of a dog treated at the Roque Quagliato Veterinary Hospital, diagnosed with bacterial endocarditis.
